West Indies cricketer Jason Holder is 6 feet 7 inches tall but what is most impressive about his tall physique is his head—calm, composed, and mature. Mature enough to be handed the captaincy of a struggling West Indies team at the age of 23. A handy lower-order batsman and a medium pacer, Holder came into the limelight after being the leading wicket-taker for West Indies in the 2010 U-19 World Cup. His first international assignment came against Australia in an ODI in 2013. His Test debut came against New Zealand in 2014. In 2014, due to player disputes, Holder was named the captain of the West Indies ODI team and became the youngest ever captain of the team. A year later, he became the second-youngest Test captain of Windies. Holder showed outstanding tactical nous during his tenure, despite the team coming short on many occasions. He was part of the ICC Test Team of the Year for 2018. In 2019, Holder became only the third player to score a double-century at number eight. He was replaced by Kraigg Brathwaite as the Test captain in 2021.
